Xian Textile Holdings is a fully vertically integrated enterprise with an annual output of 18,000 tonnes of cotton yarn and 76 million meters of cotton cloth, mainly grey shirting fabric. After a detailed study and comparing performance of various airjet machines, they decided to buy Picanol and installed 24 of the very latest, state-of-the-art Summum airjets.

Picanol’s association with Sanjay Ghodawat dates back to 2005 when the group bought its first batch of 16 GamMax rapier machines. Since then it has increased capacity by adding another 48 airjet machines, the latest being the state-of-the-art Summum airjets.

The group started its business with two power looms in 1982 and now has 64 shuttle looms and 48 Picanol airjet machines (24 OMNI and 24 OMNIplus Summum).

The company currently has 12 Gamma rapier weaving machines together with 25 OptiMax and 32 OMNIplus Summum machines, while another 32 OMNIplus Summum machines are on order.
