Most robust high-speed leno system
The Optileno system has been designed to cope with abrasive and difficult-to-weave yarns in warp, such as fiberglass fabrics and secondary carpet backings.
The Dreher and Steher yarns, which come off a single beam, remain separated throughout the entire weaving cycle. This minimizes possible fiber damage due to friction between warp ends. Thanks to the use of hardened needles and a precise selection movement, which is commanded by an independent motor, the warp tension needed for leno binding is kept at a very low level. This benefits the undamaged passage of the yarns through the machine, further minimizing wear and tear.
