Last week, we inaugurated a new training and service center in Tashkent (Uzbekistan), in collaboration with our Uzbek agent, Baror Group. This state-of-the-art facility is strategically located to serve Picanol’s Central Asian customers more effectively. The opening ceremony was organized during CAITME 2024, which is the largest textile machinery exhibition in Central Asia, and it provided the ideal platform to showcase our new center to many industry professionals and customers from Uzbekistan, India, Pakistan, and Tajikistan, among other countries.
The guests were welcomed by Tony Decock, Picanol Sales Manager, and the event featured opening speeches by Mrs. Nadira Shotursunova, Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Mr. Osamov Zohidjon, Head of the Professional Education Department of the Uztekstilprom Association. After the official cutting of the ribbon, the guests were then invited to explore the new training center.
“We made the investment in this training center because our motto is ‘Let’s grow together’ and by offering more training facilities closer to our customers in Central Asia, we are strengthening our support to them and making sure they continue to be successful,” explains Tony Decock.
The center is equipped with two advanced weaving machines: the OmniPlus-i Connect and the TerryMax-i Connect. Our local team of experts will ensure that customers receive top-notch training and outstanding service in this brand-new center. We are able to provide practical training programs for weaving technicians on both airjet and rapier technology, and this for flat weaving as well as terry weaving.
