S-tube

Create the right amount of tension for your heavy fabrics using the S-tube 

The S-Tube backrest is designed to be able to add enough tension when weaving heavy fabrics. The tension is adjusted by creating friction between warp-ends and a large diameter tube locked in a fixed position. 

This occurs by means of a smaller tension rod that is fixed by a series of hooks to the bigger tube. More friction can be obtained by increasing the contact angle of the warp yarn with the large diameter tube. The smaller tube is detachable at knotting. The warp tension is controlled by means of a TSW warp tension sensor.
