Reduce the impact of bobbin failures
With its PSO (Prewinder Switch-Off) system, the machine carries on weaving automatically even if a filling break occurs on the weft bobbin creel or one of the prewinders.
PSO requires at least two or preferably more filling channels working in filling mix mode to weave a certain color. If the bobbin break detector at the entrance of the prewinder detects a filling break, the microprocessor immediately cancels selection of that particular channel. The machine however does not stop but continues producing with the remaining channel(s) of that color. After repairing, the weaver pushes the start button of the prewinder so that the microprocessor registers that this prewinder is in full operation again and the filling presenter selects this channel once more.
